It was hard to top last week, what with Easter and all. In fact, I didn’t have any really amazing shots this week. I did go out today, though, and got a few to talk about.
This purple flower is a desert plant. A weed perhaps. Lovely little purple petals is has though. I had bent to take the picture of the petals when I noticed those weird looking “leaves” in the top shot. I am not sure if they are in the same plant or if that is how close another plant was growing. A little further up the path, I caught this little bee while I was trying to capture another shot.

Nice capture. I think they actually are parts of the same plant – the lower photo is the blossom, while the top photo shows the seed pods which develop from the flowers. It’s a member of the Pea family, though I don’t know exactly what it is. I like to think of them as wildflowers rather than “weeds”! π
