With a new series. I am a little behind in this post, but the last assignment from Kat for the Journey of Inspiration was to start a series. Though I am working on 2 other series already, found in Lili’s Life Menu, I decided from my files that I would start a new series called Little Surprises. I have found I love what I find in the photo once I get it on the computer, something that wasn’t originally part of the photo. Bokeh. Reflections. Sun bursts. Whatever the little surprise might be. I want to thank Kat for another great set of lessons. I am learning a lot about the photographer I am becoming, and ever changing.
The rainbow colors in the bubble, I only hoped to get the bubble to come out in the photo. Our reflection in the hubcap. We could tell we could see ourselves, but it was a surprise at first. The sun flare on the leaves, this was the first time I had achieved this. The rainbow on the back of the truck and the water droplets bouncing off the duck were completely unplanned and a little surprise that added to the photo.
What a great idea for a new series; Unexpected surprises are so much fun! Love the way you presented them in a collage! I’ve enjoyed your images and getting to know you!!

That’s a terrific idea for a series! Finding those little surprises is one of the most fun things about photography for me. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you through these classes.

Such a fun series topic! I’ve had the same thing happen with reflections, a bonus image of me that surprised me upon review. So many of your other surprises are about light – I imagine as you continue to grow in photography you will start to “see” these at the time of capture. I can’t wait for your future surprises!
