The Hues of Autumn|Red

I love fall. My favorite season of the year. Halloween. Thanksgiving/My Birthday (they are on the same day about every 7 years and it used to be the big family event when I was younger). The changing of the leaves. All the colors you can find everywhere, even here in the semi desert. I love it all. Of course I would really love it if I lived somewhere that there were even more trees. Jumping into piles of leaves was never really a big thing for us because both my brother and I have asthma. And we never lived in a house that produced leaves to make big enough piles. I love to be somewhere that there are so many leaves on the ground that when you walk you can kick them and swish them around. Jumping on them is good too. This year is the first time I have ever been to a pumpkin patch and as my son is 8 I think it was too young of one for him. We need to find a bigger one next time. Or tomorrow. It has also turned cold her fast. Yellow and orange are still easy to find, even green is still out there. Especially with all the rain we have been getting. Red has been more of a challenge. As purple will be next week. They came fast and are leaving just as fast. But ah, my mom has tomatoes sitting out on the windowsill because she had to pick them before it froze the other night (even has a red punching bag outside the window).

On the way to Mr B’s soccer game today I saw this balloon out (advertising for the block that was blocked off for a haunted house).

  1. I like both of your pictures very much, you’re creating a very different atmosphere in each one. I think the tomatoes photo is my favourite – it feels warm and cosy!

  2. I absolutely love the tomatoes on the window sill. So sweet and simple. Nicely composed too! Thanks for joining us in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge. I hope you’ll be back again on Friday when we move on to our new theme, purple! Have a great day.
