Texturing

I think I finally learned how to use Kim Klassen’s textures. Mostly that is. The one thing that isn’t working for me is moving the texture onto the picture full size instead of this little bitty box that I have to make bigger and when I do it distorts the texture. Meaning the new window with the texture doesn’t open like it does in Kim’s example. I also tried doing the mouse over but it wasn’t working. I read that someone else couldn’t get it to work in WordPress either. The textured door is the top one, the bottom photo is the original, uncropped. I am definitely changing which one I put in my entryway collection. I like the cropped/textured one much better. And it also interests me that you can see something through the crack of the door now too. The story behind…

    1. Thank you so very much Cheryl. Gotta switch it out on Flickr. Or count it as a whole other picture since I am aiming for 100 entryways.

  1. I’ve had that problem too. You may need to change the size of your original photo. Have you tried file-place-choose your image, rather than dragging it up from the project bin, that sometimes works better. Love the door.

    1. Thank you Traveller. I will look into that one. I did notice later on too that once I hit the green check mark the texture image was clearing up at least.
